Our story
MONADE was born in a moment of stillness.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, in a small room and in quiet isolation, an idea began to take shape gently, deliberately.
It all started as an artistic investigation: folding paper through origami, composing abstract artworks, and creating sculptural works that explored beauty through repetition.
This process led to a deeper question on texture and materiality, exploring how folded patterns could evolve from pure aesthetics into systems. Through hands-on research, these patterns began to take physical form, transforming into architectural installations and structural surfaces.
What began as an experiment in art and geometry eventually revealed itself as a method for creating a new kind of material, modular, flexible, and adaptable. Over time, through extensive testing and the successful filing of a patent, that method found its natural expression in the world of fashion.
The handbag became the most intimate, functional, and poetic canvas for this research expression, the place where art, architecture, fashion, and craftsmanship converge.
From that solitude, MONADE emerged: a vision shaped by hand, guided by purpose, and imagined as something greater than itself.
What began as a study in form has grown into a deeper journey one that faces the challenges of our time: sustainability, consciousness, and responsibility.
Today, MONADE looks ahead.
Toward new materials.
Toward new ways of crafting meaning.
Toward a future where design is not only beautiful, but necessary.
Each handbag carries the spirit of its origin:
A product with the soul of a process, the precision of architecture, and the exclusivity of a work of art.
And the story is just beginning.
